Country Day's Hogan Commits

Detroit Country Day's Mose Hogan is one of the top student-athletes in Michigan. Accordingly, he wanted to choose the best combination of athletics and academics he could find in a college. This weekend, he did that.

Mose Hogan contacted Scout.com yesterday to explain his decision and add the first bit of closure to what had been a long process.

"After season I got a lot of attention," he said, "I recieved offers from Dayton, Colgate, and a preferred walkon a Michigan. I narrowed my decision down to Michigan and Georgetown."

Staying instate and playing for the Wolverines as a walk-on was something the 5'10, 200-lb safety thought hard about doing, but in the end, he had to choose to go elsewhere.

"I went on my official to Georgetown and loved it. It was perfect for me, so I committed."

Like many recruits this time of year, Hogan is excited to know his destination and is also happy the stress of recruiting is over.

"It was long and rough, but paid off in the end."
