A few precocious freshmen have already made early waves in the state of Michigan. Here is a look at some of the names in the class of 2011 who have already caught some eyes.

DeAnthony Arnett - WR - Saginaw
The 5'11 Arnett is also one of the better basketball players in his class, Arnett has outstanding quickness off the line. He also showed he had deep speed, running a 4.49 at Michigan's camp. He will be one the go-to guys for the Trojans this year and is well on his way to becoming an FBS recruit.

Justin Means - RB - Muskegon
Means has yet to play a varsity snap, but his performance on the J.V. as a freshman last season has many in Muskegon excited about his future. He is slated to be the starter this year and has the speed and game breaking ability to be an instant star.

Devonte Henderson - RB - Warren Mott
Henderson made his name with a few big plays on special teams a year ago. He has track speed and great elusiveness. An ankle injury kept him out for much of the summer, but he should be back on track and ready by the fall.

Ryan Griffin- RB - Ann Arbor Pioneer
Older brother Ricky has been getting most of the attention but Ryan made all conference last year. He has good speed and can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Percy Johnson - LB - Detroit Denby
Denby coaches say Johnson would have started on varsity as a freshman last year, but he ended up taking the year off from football. He is now back and ready to go and early reports say he is one of the toughest and hardest hitters on the team. He along with fellow sophomore to be Davonte Snyder will be the cornerstone of the Denby defense.

Anthony Johnson - WR - Sterling Heights Parkway
The younger brother of Parkway RB Zurlon Tipton, Johnson is already 6'4, 180-lbs and played both CB and WR last year and did a fine job in his 1-1 matchup with Redford Covenant's Jammonne Chester. He also had a nice showing at Michigan's camp this summer and has a lot of upside potential.

Blake Blackwell - WR - Detroit Cass Tech
Blackwell had a strong JV season last year and if summer 7-7s are any indication, he will continue to do well on varsity. He has good size and outstanding ball skills.
