The 27th Annual Michigan High School All-Star Football Game was held Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. A number of high profile recruits from "the mitten" came together and the result was a tight, exciting game.
On a day where the East squad came into the 27th Annual Michigan High School All-Star Football game a heavy favorite, the West rallied to pull out a 9-7 victory.

TE
Rocky Weaver
caught a TD pass from Johnny Benjamin (headed to Northwood) late in the 4th quarter to put the West ahead.

Badger
James Stallons
had a solid day passing the ball.
Stallons chats with his go-to receivers, future Michigan Wolverine
Martell Webb
and
Mark Dell
, a Spartan to-be playing in his home stadium.
Dell had an outstanding day, making several tough grabs in traffic, including this one over Lowell's
Mike McElroy
, off to
Southern Illinois
. McElroy would make up for this completion though, breaking up two passes in the 4th quarter to help preserve the victory.
Whitehall's Ryan Van Bergen, off to Michigan and Adrian's
Brad Ohrman
, headed to
Eastern Michigan
, spent a lot of time in the East backfield.
Benjamin had a nice game and Northwood fans should be very happy with this pickup.
Flint Carman-Ainsworth DT
Ryan Wheat
was one of the most physical players on the field. He got to get a taste of playing in Spartan Stadium, something he will do a lot of the next four years as a member of the MSU football team.
Rockford CB Callan Sherd gets tripped up. Sherd had a nice day at defensive back and looks like he will see the field right away at Northwood.
Detroit Cass Tech LB/S Zach Easterley had a fine game. The 6'3, 200-lber is staying close to home and playing for Wayne State.
Detroit Crockett DT
Michael Booker
was tough to block in the middle today. He was one of many All-Stars headed to the GLIAC conference, as he will be a Saginaw Valley State Cardinal.
Toledo Rocket fans should be happy to have Kaunda Hancock. The Birmingham Brother Rice safety was all over the field today making tackle after tackle.
