GVSU Quarterback Cullen Finnerty was as productive and successful as any quarterback on any level…
Finnerty and Fowler Work Out For Browns
Finnerty was on target for the most part. He is showing much better arm strength than it seemed he posessed on tape. Fowler only dropped one pass during the hour session and made a couple of great leaping grabs including an amazing one hander on a deep pass from Finnerty.
The talented duo are both in the same boat. Both have great size and skills as developmental prospects but are slated to be later round picks or priority free agents.
Finnerty has impressed a number of teams though. Two AFC teams have 5th Round grades on him with a couple more rating him as a 6th/7th Round draftable prospect. Fowler's size (6'2, 210) and speed (4.43 at his pro day) make him an enticing prospect. During the workout, not only did he catch almost everything thrown at him, he also showed good route running skills and footwork along the sideline.
With their production over the past few seasons and now their impressive workouts, do not be surprised if these two teammates hear their name called later on day two of the draft.
