Beedle Gaining Momentum

Clarkston (Mich.) junior defensive tackle David Beedle has one offer and more schools are becoming interested by the day.

After a strong performance at the Elite Big Man Camp, Clarkston's David Beedle is a rising name in the Midwest. In fact, the 6'5, 250-lb defensive tackle recently earned his first offer.

"I have an offer from Bowling Green," he said. "I got it last weekend. It was cool. It felt good. It was a nice school. They have what I want academic wise. I like the coaches. They're nice, funny and outgoing."

The Falcons also offered teammate and linemate Nick Matich, but the two have not discussed the possibility of playing together in college yet.

"Obviously it's a possibility," Beedle explained, "but we haven't talked about it."

With his frame and growth potential, Beedle could fit into a variety of schemes and roles at the next level.

"I played a lot of tackle [last season at Clarkston] because we have stand up outsides, but I would have liked to play more end. Bowling Green told me they liked me at the three."

There are other schools who are recruiting him too, and the mail and interest is increasing as more schools find out about him.

"Eastern Michigan came in to the school, Miami (Ohio) came in. I've gotten mail from Notre Dame, Iowa, and Kent State. As far as mail goes, I think that's it."

Beedle visits Toledo for their junior day this weekend.
