MADISON - Sturgis (Mich.) junior quarterback Chance Stewart continues to be a Wisconsin commit, but has been patiently waiting to hear something from the new Badgers coaching staff.
It’s a story that has raised a few concerns among Wisconsin recruiting followers, and the “Stewart Saga” continued with a new twist added to the story.
"I got to talk to Coach (Thomas) Hammock and we talked on Sunday night on Twitter,” Stewart told Badger Nation. “He just asked how things were going basically. I went on to ask him what my status was with Wisconsin and he just told me that Coach Andersen and Coach Ludwig will be in touch.
"The conversation was very short and that was pretty much it. I've talked before to Coach Hammock, so it wasn't a shock that he was the one to connect. I'm going to wait for the call for now. We will see after this."
A three-star prospect rated the No.23 quarterback in the country by Scout.com, Stewart is still searching for answers and hasn't gotten them, so could that mean a possible de-commitment could happen between the talented quarterback and the Badgers?
"I will wait and see what happens,” Stewart said. “If nothing occurs, we might have to head in a different direction. My family and I haven't brought that up yet, though. We will see and have to wait another week, but I'm solid right now."
