Ithaca (Mich.) junior quarterback Travis Smith is hosting many visitors this evaluation period and may be setting up some visits soon.
After another big season, Ithaca High's junior quarterback Travis Smith
picked up his first offer recently (Central Michigan
), and has been fielding visits and other contact from college coaches.
"He got an invite to junior day at Minnesota this weekend, but cannot go," his father Brett Smith reported. "Central Michigan is Saturday."
In addition to those invites, others have been coming by.
"Michigan State is in today at 12:30. Central Michigan is going to be at his basketball game tonight. Northwestern called yesterday. They think they will be there Monday."
The Big Ten interest doesn't stop there, as another program from the conference has turned up the heat as well.
"Nebraska's offensive coordinator likes him a lot, told him he is electrifying and loves what he does with the ball in his hands. We're setting up a visit to campus this month."
Ball State, Michigan, and Bowling Green have also been to the school in recent weeks.
