University of Detroit Jesuit has a 6'0, 210-lb junior linebacker in Parris Bennett, who is hearing from a number of programs, and visited three during the season. Michigan State was one of the first.
"It was a great trip," he said. "The coaches were very friendly and pretty personable. It was a good game and I enjoyed the visit. It was a lot of fun. I wish they would have pulled it out, but it was a good time. They just said they would be in contact and would like to have me up again sometime soon, but they didn't say when."
He also had a chance to go down to Blooomington to see Indiana in a game, that was his second time on the campus and he likes the Hoosiers.
"I had a blast at Indiana, cause I had been there over the summer for the one day camp and I came back for a game. I know the linebacker coach very well from the camp. I went to the one when they played Ohio State and I liked the atmosphere a lot. They lost as well, but I got to go into the locker room after the game, talk to some of the coaches and it was pretty enjoyable."
He also tripped to Mount Pleasant, where the Central Michigan Chippewas are showing him strong interest.
"I went with a few teammates and we had a nice time up there. I talked to Coach Reynolds and he came to see me at the school a few times. They, unfortunately, lost as well, but it was a good game."
Bennett still feels he is under the radar, and has over a year to change that before his Signing Day.
"I plan to hit a bunch of college camps, just try to get my name out there. I don't think a lot of schools know about me and my potential, so I just plan to go everywhere."
