Hill Adds Michigan Offer

More on Michigan's offer to Detroit Cass Tech (Mich.) safety and Iowa commit Delano Hill.

Michigan has offered Iowa commit Delano Hill, a senior from Detroit Cass Tech, a school the Wolverines have familiarity with.

"They've been talking about it for a few weeks," Technicians defensive coordinator Jermain Crowell said. "Wilcher asked me what did I think or what did Delano think about. I said, they hadn't said anything to him (Delano) about it yet."

That changed today when the Wolverines reached out to the 6'1, 190-lb prospect

"Delano just called me and he said, 'Coach, Michigan called and offered. They said they're coming down tomorrow.' I was like wow, they're really serious. He asked me what did I think. He's big and fast, that's what they need at Michigan."

The Wolverines have two corners, Delonte Hollowell and Terry Richardson, from Cass Tech on their roster, and a third, Jourdan Lewis committed. Hill may get a look at corner from the Wolverines and Crowell believes his size and speed will give him a real chance to compete.

"Delano's faster than all of them. He's a difference maker, that's why I didn't understand why they didn't recruit him."

He also says Hill is likely to visit.

"I know he's still excited about Pittsburgh, but I'm pretty sure he's going to go to visit Michigan. If he goes up there with Dave [Dawson], he and Dave have been talking about playing together. That's going to be kind of big too."
